Spring-UP is the WE ARE Campaign’s spring community service event. The main purposed for this event is to spruce up University Park campus before the big Blue and White weekend, giving back to our community. Spring UP 2008 was Saturday, April 5, 2008, and was very successful with 400 volunteers. Spring-UP 2008 volunteers were lucky to have a fresh spring day with a nice, clear sky!

All service projects take place on campus so that volunteers can see and show others what they’ve done. We work with Office of Physical Plant (OPP) on beautification projects such as: planting trees, planting flowers, mulching, etc. Also, volunteers are not only students! Penn State alumni, faculty, staff and downtown State College residents also volunteer their weekend to show their pride in Penn State with the students.
